Custom Printed UV Film to the Rescue at Sunshine Smiles Dental Care

For any dental or medical office, privacy is of the utmost importance. That’s why Dr. Jennilyn McEnroe asked Absolute Perfection to create a custom printed UV film for her office windows at Sunshine Smiles Dental Care. Set on a busy road in an up and coming area with lots of new construction, the office is the perfect location for a dental practice. The nearly floor to ceiling windows let in lots of natural light but don’t allow for much privacy.

Unique Design

Our graphic designers worked with Dr McEnroe to come up with a unique window film, so that the natural light wasn’t impeded but the view to the interior was. The project required a design that covered the bottom half of the glass and wasn’t a solid block of color. “We wanted to make sure the design popped but still gave the interior of the clinic some concealment. We came up with the design idea of a gradient using circle shapes” says Chris Fong, VP at Absolute Perfection. The plan involved a pattern that covered the lower portion of the glass and dissipated as it moved up the window.

The custom design was then printed on clear LLUMAR window film with white ink using our high-tech UV flatbed printer, the FB550. This film has 99% UV blockage, protecting interiors and those inside from the harmful damage caused by UV rays. The film was then installed on the inside of the windows, so the ink is protected from direct sunlight, extending the lifespan of the custom printed window film.

Trouble-Free Installation

Two of our installers took 2 ½ hours to complete the installation on the reception and office areas, giving Sunshine Smiles Dental Care a whole new look to the front of their building. Now they won’t have to resort to blinds and customers and employees can bask in natural light without losing their privacy.
